Week 1

Pick an auteur that you really love. It doesn't have to be the auteur you did your presentation on.
Tell me what you love about this auteur. Break down each of their major films and tell me what inspired you about their filmography? Is it the characters? genre? styles? film techniques? storytelling? LENGTH - 2 pages |

Week 2
|
Pick 3 techniques that your auteur was known for using. These could be camera techniques, editing techniques, composition, colour, themes, storylines, tropes, fonts, music, etc.
Tell me: Why you chose each technique? How you plan to implement each one? You can not only WRITE but DRAW how you plan to implement each technique LENGTH - 2 pages |

Week 3 - Script |
Its time to write your script for your short film. You film should run for 3-5 minutes (so VERY short!). It can be about anything you like. However, It must be in the style of your chosen auteur. Make sure you follow proper script formatting.

Week 4 - Storyboard |
Finally it's time to visually map out your film. A storyboard is like a comic book version of your script, where we see every shot visually represented in a cell/comic like structure. here is a great template:
