Sell your idea!!

In Term 1 you will be pitching your major media product idea to the class.
Imagine you are pitching your idea to a production company. You need to get us excited about that you are making! So pitch with energy and enthusiasm. Remember that a pitch is VISUAL so use visual aids to help us see you idea. You could create a powerpoint. You could show videos to help us better understand your idea or what has inspired you.
In your pitch you will need to Consider:
  1. Your idea. What are you making?? Tell us all the details! What are you inspired by? What is your personal style going to look and sound like?
  2. Your narrative. What is your story? Tell us about the opening, development and conclusion.
  3. Talent. Who will you use in your media product? Have you asked them? are they willing and available? will you need to hire anyone?
  4. Crew. Who will help you create your product? Who can you collaborate with?
  5. Locations. Where will you shoot? when? Do you have access or do you need to organise permissions and permits?
  6. Timeline. When will you shoot? When will you edit?
  7. Design. What will you need to source, create or make? Props? Scenery? Mise-en-scene? Costume? Clothing? Special Effects?
  8. Technology. What do you plan to shoot with? Will you need to borrow school equipment or do you have your own? What software will you use to edit?
  9. Challenges. What challenges do you face? Are you attempting anything you don't know how to do yet? What is going to be difficult for you?
  10. Passion! What do you love about your idea? Why do you want to make this product? What excites you about it??
