The Task:

For your video essay you need to choose one of the following statements to address:
  1. The globalisation of media content has caused more harm than good. Discuss.
  2. Changing modes of media distribution have led to greater audience agency. Discuss
  3. The regulation of media content in Australia needs to catch up with the current media landscape. Discuss

In addressing one of the topics above, you should argue whether you agree or disagree. In your argument, you need to refer to some of the examples we have been exploring from class. You must research and discuss the following in your argument:
  1. An example of media globalisation
  2. An example of changing modes of media distribution
  3. An example of audience agency
  4. One communication theory
  5. One regulatory body in Australia
  6. One legal or ethical issue in the media

​Remember this is a video essay to use visuals to help your argument. Pictures, videos, illustrations and text should help illustrate your narration.
